A total of 48 countries
followed the International Science Olympiad Junior Level or International
Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2016 in Bali, on 2 to December 11, 2016.
Implementation of IJSO 13th this time trying to balance the ability if thought
and sense if the participants IJSO entirely in junior high school.
Agenda program designed for
276 students who participated IJSO 2016 is not just a series of scientific
tests as competition for them in the process to think. In 2016 IJSO agenda also
included a visit culture (cultural visit), social activities, as well as
cultural performances from each country to hone a sense if young people from
different parts of the world.
IJSO the opening took place
on Saturday morning (12/03/2016). After the opening ceremony, and a recess and
lunch, the participants were invited to visit the 2016 IJSO Bajra Sandhi
Monument or Bali People Struggle Monument, which is located in front of the
Office of the Provincial Governor of Bali, exactly in Puputan Renon. The
monument was established to honor of the heroes, as well as a symbol of the
soul preserving Balinese struggle from generation to generation, and the symbol
of the spirit of maintaining the integrity of the Unitary Republic of
Indonesia. It is seen from 17 stairs in the main door, 8 grand pillars in the
building of the monument, and the monument that rises 45 meters.

Monument culture, the next day, Sunday (12/04/2016), IJSO participants competed
through their process to think in science by working on multiple choice exams
for three hours. After the test, they resume activity by holding a group
exercise with friends one state to prepare to appear in the "Delegation
Culture Night" or Night of Culture Delegation.
On Monday (5/12/2016),
participants are invited to visit IJSO Uluwatu and Tanah Lot, with no agenda
exam on that day. Then, on Tuesday (06/12/2016), they have to return to
competition if it thought in a theoretical exam that lasts 3.5 hours. After
passing the theory test, which they follow the agenda are social activities
such as visits to schools in Bali.
In addition to cultural visits,
for though the sense of balance, IJSO participants are also invited to visit
some tourist attractions in Bali, among other Pandavas Beach. Agenda Coast
Pandavas scheduled to take place on Wednesday (12/07/2016), then resumed with
the appropriate social activity and creativity of the participants in the day's
companion.

return must follow the science exam on Thursday (08/12/2016), in the form of
experimental test, or a test experiment which lasted for 3.5 hours. To refresh
your mind back, at the same time if the balance between thought and sporting
sense, they are scheduled to visit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), and enjoy
traditional Balinese dance there. In the evening, delegates IJSO 2016 will
perform at a cultural performance entitled "Culture Night: National
Delegates Showcase".
International Junior Science
Olympiad (IJSO) 2016 takes the theme 'Science for Creative Innovation'. In the
opening IJSO 2016, the Director General of Primary and Secondary Education and
Culture Ministry, Hamid Muhammad, said the theme had a deep connection with the
global diversity in science. Scientists from various backgrounds certainly
bring a different perspective in addressing a scientific problem. They have
very different perspectives in the world and the diversity of the benefits of
science.
The attributes of global
diversity in science, added Hamid, can be cultivated on the younger generation,
including gifted students from all over the world. He believes IJSO can take
the lead in efforts to encourage the collaboration of young scientists. IJSO is
a space that encourages creativity in a variety of scientific and cultural
exchange
